Hydrazinecarboxylic acid 2-[[4-(2-pyridinyl)phenyl]methyl]-, 1,1-dimethyl ester, also known as Pyrazol-3-ylmethylamine hydrochloride, is an organic compound. Its molecular formula is C14H16N2O2 and its relative molecular mass is 240.29g/mol.

Use:
- Hydrazinecarboxylic acid 2-[[4-(2-pyridinyl)phenyl]methyl]-, 1,1-dimethylethyl ester is an organic synthesis intermediate, commonly used in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical and pesticide precursor compounds.
Method:
Hydrazinecarboxylic acid 2-[[4-(2-pyridinyl)phenyl]methyl]-, 1,1-dimethylethyl ester can be synthesized by the following steps:
1.2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde and methanol are condensed together to give 2-(2-pyridyl) methyl alcohol.
2.2-(2-pyridyl) methyl alcohol is reacted with Formic Anhydride to obtain 2-(2-pyridyl) methyl formate.
3.2-[[4-(2-pyridyl) phenyl] methyl]-hydrazine carboxylic acid is obtained by reacting hydrazine carboxylic acid with bromine chloride.
4. Finally, it reacts with 1,1-dimethylacetyl chloride to generate the final product Hydrazinecarboxylic acid 2-[[4-(2-pyridinyl)phenyl]methyl]-, 1,1-dimethylethyl ester.
